Your Logan Square Home Away From Home
Our Logan Square location embodies the neighborhood's creative, family-friendly spirit. Housed in a gorgeous corner space on Armitage Avenue, we're surrounded by local shops, cafes, and the green spaces that make Logan Square perfect for young families.
We serve families throughout Logan Square, Bucktown, Wicker Park, and Humboldt Park. With direct access to the 606 Trail, Lucy Flower Play Lot, and Maplewood Park outdoor learning is woven into every day. Many families walk or bike to drop-off, making the morning routine a pleasant neighborhood experience.
From infants through Pre-K, we provide exceptional play-based education with the flexible scheduling, hours geared towards working families, and Tadpoles updates that working families need. This is where learning feels like home.

What Makes Logan Square Special
Neighborhood Creative Energy
Logan Square's artistic, community-focused spirit infuses everything we do. We incorporate local culture, visit neighborhood murals, and celebrate the diversity that makes this area unique.
Steps from parks and the 606 Trail
Direct access to the 606 Trail means daily outdoor adventures. Children explore elevated gardens, watch pedestrians and cars below, and experience one of Chicago's most beloved green spaces.
Experienced Teaching Team
Our Logan Square director, Ms. Paetyn, has been with For Your Child for 4+ years, Ms Sarah from our Pre-K room has worked in several FYC classrooms over the past 5 years, as well as Ms. Jocelyn who has been with FYC in multiple roles since 2018. Our executive director, Ms. Nikki, has been with FYC since its inception.
Bright Corner Space
Our Logan Square facility was thoughtfully designed creating a home-like feeling while meeting all DCFS requirements for safety and programming.
Diverse, Family-Friendly Community
Logan Square's multicultural neighborhood enriches our program. Children experience different languages, foods, and cultural traditions as part of their daily learning.
Our Philosophy at Logan Square
Like our Lincoln Park location, Logan Square follows the same research-backed, play-based curriculum. Here's what guides our approach:
Play as Learning
Children don't learn from worksheets—they learn through exploration, creativity, and hands-on experiences that spark curiosity.
Social-Emotional Growth
Building confidence, empathy, problem-solving, and self-regulation through real peer interactions and teacher support.
Outdoor Connection
Daily walks to the 606, Lucy Flower Play Lot, Maplewood Park, and neighborhood exploration. Nature and community are our extended classroom.
School Readiness
Early literacy, math, and critical thinking developed naturally through purposeful play, preparing children for kindergarten success.
