The preschool years are when children's natural curiosity explode. At For Your Child Preschool, we channel that curiosity through purposeful play, not premature academics. Our play-based approach honors how two and three-year-olds actually learn: through hands-on exploration, social interaction, and rich sensory experiences.

What makes FYC unique is how we combine research-backed play with our neighborhood setting; they walk to local parks twice daily, observe real neighborhood life, and learn in context. Our experienced teachers and Tadpoles app keep you connected throughout the day to create the perfect environment for preschoolers to build the confidence, creativity, and social-emotional skills that predict lifelong success far better than early letter drills ever could.

7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. - Arrival and Structured Free Play

9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. - Clean Up and Bathroom Break

9:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. - Circle Time

9:45 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. - Snack

10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. - Learning Centers (math, science, sensory, literacy, art)*

10:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. - Bathroom

11:00 a.m. – 11:50 a.m. - Outdoor Exploration or Gross Motor Activities

11:50 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. - Wash Hands

12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. - Lunch

12:30 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. - Bathroom Break and Independent Reading

12:45 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. - Nap

2:45 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. - Wake-up and Bathroom

3:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. - Snack

3:15 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. - Story Time

3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. - Outdoor Exploration or Gross Motor Activities

4:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. - Music and Large Group Time

5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. - Structured Free Play and Departure

*Spanish provided by Rise Education once per week alternating Wednesdays and Thursdays.

**An additional snack will be served around 5:30 p.m.

Please note this schedule is followed during the school year.

During our summer session we spend more time outdoors and sack lunches twice a week.

Our Programs

"We couldn't be happier with FYC Preschool! The teachers are compassionate, caring, dedicated and enthusiastic and our daughter has learned and grown in ways we never expected while attending school there. Communication with the director and teachers is fantastic, whether in-person, by phone or email. We have also been impressed by the way FYC has handled our daughter's multiple food allergies. They have arranged special meals and snacks with the caterer, a food allergy education session during one of their in-service days, follow the food allergy action plan to the letter, and ALWAYS call with any question about potentially 'dangerous' foods. We feel like our daughter is in the safest possible environment. FYC is a great place, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone!"
